Hello lovely people, I hope you've had a wonderful week—we had one public holiday snuck into the middle, which was such a luxury! I'm a big fan for pauses in the middle of things, like a mini-weekend in the middle of the week, I find it really refreshes and replenishes me! I started a new book (more below), pottered on the balcony and generally stocked up on energgy for today and tomorrow when I'll be hanging out at our shop! Here are some some interesting picks selected just for you:
/ A home filled with stillness and beauty; with space to breathe and thoughtful details—very personal and non-formulaic.
/ The photographer Björn Wallander's tips for savouring Mumbai. Bookmark this, it has lots of great ideas. I also love what he has to say about travel in general, probably especially relevant for our times: "Try to get in the rhythm of the local people and do things the local way."
/ I always thought of jalebi as street food (I love it...), but here's a quick and easy recipe (20 minutes!) to make it at home! Tip: Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream for dessert.
/ I'm currently reading this book, and it deeply resounds with a personal philosophy I'm working to cultivate which is speaking persuasively, empathetically and listening generously.
/ This is India: jolts of incredible beauty dotting the everyday.
Enjoy your downtime! x
