I hope you’ve been having a wonderful weekend. The link pack is two days late this week, for which I apologise: it was a great week but busy in a different way that completely threw me off my schedule. I’m still trying to understand exactly why, but maybe sometimes it’s ok to go with the flow? One of my highlights was a dinner I cooked along with the talented and super fun Club Michel team for over 70 diners, the menu was out of this beautiful cookbook. Most people loved the food, we had one request for milk because of the spice (!) and the amazing atmosphere all evening made the 12 hours in the kitchen completely worth it. The sun’s out today, which is almost feels like summer, but also made me see so much more clearly that it was clearly time to dust and clean a bit — a completely unintended side effect!
From around the internet this week, here are a few things that caught my attention, I hope you enjoy them!
/ A great reply to a ridiculous question: ”What's it like to be a gay athlete? It's exactly like being a straight athlete, lots of hard work but usually done with better eyebrows.”
/ A beautiful, serene bathroom in white
/ Swedish-Chilean artist Anton Alvarez joins wood, steel and plastic objects using a technique he calls “cocooning” to create completely new furniture and architectural objects
/ A Humans of NY moment
/ What that sinking Sunday evening feeling really means for us — and how it can become a catalyst for much meaningful change (and no, it’s not just happening to you!)
Have a wonderful rest of the weekend and a great start to the week! x
