Friday Link Pack N°34

Hello everyone - after quite a long break! I was away for a while and decided to stay offline for most of that time, which is why I missed last week’s link pack. I had the chance to spend some time in an amazing community of Buddhist nuns and monks, listening to their wisdom and practising mindfulness, which was a really wonderful and meaningful experience. I think I’m going to make a retreat to this beautiful spot a part of every year.

So it’s been back to the grind this week, which has taken a bit of getting used to. For some reason I feel like I’ve been gone 3 or 4 weeks rather than just twelve days! What do you have lined up for the weekend? We’re hosting a birthday brunch for F’s brother so there’s plenty of prep for that and I hope the crazy rains we’re experiencing today ease up by then! Here are some fun links from around the web incase you feel like reading!

/ Love this one-of-a-kind artwork by Joakim Nystrom at The Ode To.

/ One lofty Melbourne warehouse and two crazy-creative humans results in a hand-built studio/home that is unconventional, versatile and very quirky.

/ Just when you think a trenchcoat can't be reinvented, this comes along!

/ The School of Life has a set of 20 Cards for Perspective, offering fresh perspectives through which to look at life. This would be so great to have around at a dinner party.

/ I'm currently reading this book and it is beautiful, inspirational and totally immersive. It's very moving to read about people who live their lives so deeply committed to the beautiful values of serving those in need, whoever they might be.

Have a wonderful weekend!
