We're on the way to Vienna as I write this, a quick weekend trip with my mum, that I'm combining with two shoots in beautiful homes that we'll be showcasing in the next couple of months. I'm looking forward to walking through the Naschmarkt, oggling at all the amazing food and produce. Hopefully the sun stays out for the next few days, Vienna is so much better explored on foot. If you have any tips, I'd love to hear! What do you have planned for the weekend? If you're in the mood, here are some interesting reads:
/ Ikea just launched the limited edition Överallt collection, developed with designers from the African subcontinent. The 33 products in the collection aim to include socializing, positive food experiences and important breaks in a hectic everyday life: this connecting stool, this cushion made from recycled bits of chips bags and this carafe are my favourite pieces.
/ Seven simple ways to protect your digital privacy
(I can attest to #1: Get a password manager! I did this last year and whilst it meant an initial hour of time putting everything into one place, it's been worth it!)
/ A Buddhist mantra that's very apt for our modern times: Right now, it's like this. A very interesting read about how we can turn toward, rather than away from difficulty—and about acknowledging that life IS hard.
/ Glass designer Oiva Toikka's colourful Helsinki apartment is so charming!
Have a wonderful weekend!
